| Wool & Hoop's "Gingerbread Snowflakes" embroidery kits feature a dozen new crewel designs by artist Katherine Shaughnessy. These simple designs are quick and easy, even for a beginner. Finished snowflakes can be turned into ornaments to hang in a window or on a Christmas tree, or to decorate a jam-filled mason jar. The illustrated instructions cover the basics of crewel embroidery such as transferring a pattern, hooping the fabric, threading a needle, knotting, stitching, sizing and finishing. Each kit includes 12 different patterns to choose from and the materials to make three Gingerbread Snowflakes ornaments: linen fabric, wool thread, needles, 3-inch wooden embroidery hoops, 3-inch wood backings, and paper stencils. Needed, but not included: fabric pen, white glue, spray bottle of water. Supplies for making additional snowflakes are available for purchase below. |
